This is the part of my work that doesn't show up on a manuscript, but shapes what I choose to research as much as anything else does. It started with a mental health project in Ile-Ife and Osogbo and has grown into a handful of fellowships and community initiatives since.
A community mental health initiative I founded during my Millennium Fellowship, reaching over 1,000 youths across suburban Ile-Ife and Osogbo. This is where a lot of my thinking about care, access, and prevention actually started.
Individual counselling and crisis intervention with the Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative, alongside stigma-reduction workshops and referral coordination.
Founded and helped scale Osogbo's first sustainable village community project, integrating Yoruba cultural practice with modern community-building models, across faith and ethnic lines.
Appointed by the Tokyo-based peace organisation in recognition of community transformation and mental health advocacy work across Nigeria.
Millennium Campus Network. This fellowship is where Rescue A Dying Soul was founded and executed, aligned with SDG 3.
Eleven-month fellowship in community organising and systems-change leadership, completed alongside the YxY Weavership track.
